ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
JNTUH University College of Engineering, Science and Technology Hyderabad was established in 1965. The college offers various courses in Engineering and Technology. It has got an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and J-Hub to encourage and promote the students to become job providers instead of job seekers. The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the departments existing from the inception of the college. At present, the department is offering B.Tech Regular, Integrated Dual Degree Programme, M.Tech Regular and part time and Ph.D Programme. Besides academics, the department is active in offering research, Industrial Consultancy Services to various organisations, expert advices, social and community services which are very much required for the overall development of nation.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Civil Engineering Department of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), located in Hyderabad, is one of the oldest and most important departments of the university. It was established to provide quality education and training in the field of civil engineering and to develop skilled engineers who can contribute to infrastructure development. The department offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in various specializations such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, environmental engineering, and water resources engineering. It is equipped with well-established laboratories, drawing halls, and modern classrooms that help students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The department also has experienced faculty members who guide students in academics, research, and innovative projects. Through seminars, workshops, and industry interactions, students are encouraged to improve their technical and professional skills. Overall, the Civil Engineering Department of JNTUH plays an important role in producing competent engineers who contribute to the construction and development of modern infrastructure.

STHAPATYA is a National Convention of Civil Engineers organized by the student body of the Department of Civil Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, University College of Engineering, Science and Technology Hyderabad, in Hyderabad. sthapatya2026 provides a platform for aspiring civil engineers to expand their horizons and showcase their technical skills. The event encourages students from across the country to share their technical knowledge, exchange innovative ideas, and learn about the latest developments in civil engineering. Through various technical events and competitions, participants can enhance their problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and practical understanding of engineering concepts.
